California State PTA is Hiring a Development and Programs Manager Near Sacramento, CA

Job Summary

The Development & Program Manager assists in managing and running the organization’s programs. They also manage and assist the organization’s fundraising and sponsorship efforts. The position reports to the Director of Development and Programs and works closely with other staff departments, as well as volunteer-led committees and commissions, and partner organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and supports organizational programs, assisting with program creation, delivery, and monitoring.
  • Proactively supports all development and fundraising efforts of the organization, assisting with grant applications, securing of sponsorships, and other funding applications.
  • Manages grant process and takes ownership of grant and sponsorship accounts, managing relationships and communication with funders and partners.
  • Builds relationships and works closely with state and local volunteer PTA leaders and assists them in planning and carrying out activities to advance grant and program objectives, including developing materials, planning and delivering trainings and planning and coordinating other special events.
  • Maintains, compiles and analyzes data to regularly monitor program progress, preparing periodic progress reports and summaries.
  • Develops and strengthens relationships with partners and organizations with shared goals, such as educators, community groups, arts groups, policymakers and others.
  • Effectively utilizes online organizing activities to engage local and statewide supporters; prepares materials for the website and social media.
  • Represents the association at meetings and convening’s, as assigned.
  • Supports designated commission and committees of the organization’s Board of Directors and Board of Managers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of progressive development, fundraising, and program management experience, including organizing and implementing activities and strategies, managing budgets and proven results meeting project objectives.
  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated capacity to develop and implement practical strategies, plans and solutions to advance grant objectives.
  • Experience coordinating teams and projects with multiple partners as well as building coalitions; ability to work well with people in a professional environment.
  • Adept at utilizing technology to maximize effectiveness and achieve successful outcomes.
  • Excellent writing skills and strong presentation skills.
  • Strong training and presentation skills
