About The RoleThis role is for a Building Maintenance Technician and central plant technician responsible for operations, maintenance, and repairs of critical building systems in a 260,000 SF industrial/office building. This location is the corporate headquarters for TopGolf Callaway Brands and Callaway Golf, housing key personnel, R&D, and assembly operations. Applicant will be involved in many types of work areas and a wide variety of daily tasks and issues, including standard industrial building systems as well as specialty golf ball/club R&D and assembly equipment. This is a role for someone who is a motivated self-starter, interested in constant improvement to buildings and themselves working on a wide daily variety of tasks, and who takes pride in and ownership of critical building systems and areas.
About The DepartmentThe Facilities department at this site is relatively small but agile, capable of working on many systems and types of equipment, and close knit. Supporting building operations, Callaway employees, and end customers on and off the golf course is the constant priority and what drives daily commitment to excellence, ensuring the site and what comes out of it are both world class.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Role will own all equipment and systems in the central plant, electrical substations/rooms, and roof, responsible for maintenance and troubleshooting issues.
• Role will also support HVAC systems throughout the building, plumbing issues as they arise, locating roof leaks, performing preventative maintenance and trouble calls, investigating non-operable equipment and circuits, and building/repairing a variety of equipment from specialty golf R&D to kitchen equipment.
• Central plant technician will daily review HVAC controls system to ensure all equipment is operating normally and that building is heating/cooling properly, review daily/monthly/annual preventative maintenance tasks and schedule as needed, and take constant care to organize and clean all assigned spaces and tools/equipment.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

• Proficient knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, including central plants, centrifugal chillers, CRAC units, heat pumps, cooling towers, boilers, water treatment, RO/DI, pumps, etc.
• Ability to work with HVAC controls systems and CMMS to address preventative maintenance tasks, work requests, asset information, adjust equipment settings, review trend logs, etc.
• Great troubleshooting skills and ability to work through equipment failures, hot/cold calls, and leaks to find root cause and address in a timely manner, often with minimal supervision, but also knowing when to call in other team members or a third party for specialty services and needed assistance.
• Must be a self starter with strong work ethic, can-do attitude, works well individually or as part of a team, organized, and someone who takes pride in a clean and well functioning central plant, mechanical/electrical rooms, and roof. Also someone who values working on a variety of issues throughout the day and challenging themselves with new systems and making constant improvement.

Education And Experience

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a trade or industrial facilities environment is required
• Minimum of 3 years experience in an HVAC maintenance setting required
• A vocational training certificate in a related field is a plus.
• EPA Certification as a Universal Technician for Refrigerant Handling.
