CALRegional is a vocational training program that has quickly become the program of choice for over 20,000 students nationwide since 2013. We offer healthcare training programs in partnership with adult schools, community colleges, high schools, and CalRegional Training Institute. Our mission is to create pathways to healthcare careers by providing hands-on training that prepares students for the workforce.

Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site role as a Phlebotomist Technician Lead Instructor at CALRegional located in Santa Rosa, CA. The Lead Instructor will be responsible for teaching and instructing students in laboratory skills, medical assisting, medical terminology, medicine, and blood collection. They will develop and deliver engaging lessons, assess student progress, and provide guidance and support to ensure student success.

Qualifications

Saturday Classes from 8am to 5pm OR evenings 5pm -9pm.

PAY: $32-$39

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Aiding the lead instructor in all aspects of the Phlebotomy Technician's scope of practice.
• Assisting students to develop an understanding of values, attitudes, and ideals appropriate to the health care profession.
• Providing a professional role model for students
• Current CPT License.
• Must have 3 years of documented on-the-job experience in a CLIA lab within the last 5 years.
• 1-3 years of teaching experience preferred.
• Must be proficient in all aspects of blood collection, including capillary, syringe, vacutainer, and butterfly methods.
• Must be comfortable with speaking to large groups, multi-tasking and critical thinking.
• Efficient with computers and technology.
• Organized and detail-oriented.
