Job Summary

Assists the BMP team at the Elowitz lab by performing tasks related to the passage, maintenance, and cryopreservation of cell cultures, including human stem cells.

Carries out various experiments involving cells, including qPCR, cloning, transfections, flow cytometry, and fluorescent imaging analysis.

Participates in planning meetings and assists with overall laboratory operations.

Essential Job Duties

• Cell Culture Maintenance : Perform cell culture passage, maintenance, and cryopreservation techniques for various cell lines, including human stem cells.
• Experimentation and Data Collection : Conduct experiments and collect data using techniques such as flow cytometry, PCR, and fluorescent imaging.
• Experimental Setup and Sample Preparation : Set up experiments, including transfections, and prepare samples for analysis following experiments.
• Meeting Participation and Reporting : Attend planning meetings, provide progress reports, and contribute to project discussions.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in cell cultures techniques, especially human stem cells.
• Proficiency in laboratory techniques such as qPCR, cloning, transfections, flow cytometry, and fluorescent imaging analysis.

Hiring Range

$18.50 - $24.75 Per Hour

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
