Job Description And DutiesWill Consider Staff Services Analyst. Under the direction of the District Materials Engineer, a Senior Transportation Engineer (Caltrans), the incumbent acts as a service contract manager, analyzes and maintains status of upcoming and ongoing materials testing, and purchases office and testing-related equipment and supplies. Acts as liaison with Project/Program Management to review and request allocation of personnel resources. Manages vehicle usage within the materials lab. Must have leadership competencies of Change Commitment, Risk Appetite, Self-development/growth, conflict management, relationship building, organizational awareness, communication, strategic minded, and result driven. A valid California driver's License is required when operating a state-owned or leased vehicle.
Eligibility for hire may be determined by your score on the Associate Governmental Program Analyst/ Staff Services Analyst exam. For those who do not have current eligibility (e.g., transfer, permissive reinstatement, or voluntary demotions) and/or who will be new to state civil services employment, you must be on the state examination list to be eligible for these positions.
