Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in surgical operations, ensuring the operating room environment is safe, that equipment functions properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery
- Set up surgical instruments and equipment
- Pass instruments to surgeons during surgery
- Monitor and maintain a sterile field
- Ensure all needed supplies are available
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist
- Strong knowledge of patient care in various settings such as ICU, Emergency Medicine, Ambulatory Surgery Center, PICU, and Critical Care
- Familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy
- Experience in a Level II Trauma Center or Acute Care facility is preferred
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations
