Vice President of Clinical Operations & Community Engagement

How you can make an impact: The Vice President (VP) of Clinical Operations and Community Engagement is a senior executive responsible for overseeing the clinical operations within a healthcare organization while also leading efforts to engage and support the community. This dual role requires strategic leadership, operational expertise, and strong community relationship skills to ensure the delivery of high-quality healthcare services and the development of community partnerships. The VP of Clinical Operations and Community Engagement plays a critical role in ensuring the organization delivers high-quality healthcare services while actively engaging and supporting the community to improve public health outcomes.

What you will do:

  1. Clinical Operations Leadership:
    • Report to the Chief Medical Officer.
    • Responsible for Nursing, Care Management team, and Grant Department.
    • Oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of the organization, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of healthcare services.
    • Develop and implement clinical protocols, policies, and procedures to enhance patient care experience and safety.
    • Manage clinical staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
    • Monitor and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
    • Collaborate with other executives to align clinical operations with the organization's strategic goals.
  2. Community Engagement:
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive community engagement strategy that aligns with the organization’s mission and goals.
    • Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, stakeholders, and organizations to foster collaboration and support.
    • Represent the organization at community events, meetings, and other public engagements.
    • Oversee community outreach programs, health education initiatives, and partnerships aimed at improving public health.
    • Advocate for community health needs and work to secure funding and resources to support community health initiatives.
  3. Strategic Planning and Implementation:
    • Proficiency in managing and establishing clinical initiatives and procedures.
    • Participate in strategic planning processes to identify clinical and community engagement priorities.
    • Implement strategic initiatives to enhance clinical services and community involvement.
    • Use data and analytics to measure the impact of clinical operations and community programs, adjusting as necessary.
  4. Budget and Resource Management:
    • Develop and manage budgets for clinical operations and community engagement programs.
    • Allocate resources effectively to support clinical services and community initiatives.
    • Seek out and manage grants and other funding opportunities to support community health programs.
  5. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Foster a culture of collaboration between clinical teams and community partners.
    • Ensure effective communication within the organization and with external stakeholders.
    • Provide regular updates to the executive team and board of directors on clinical and community engagement activities.

What you will bring:

    • An MSN Degree with clinical background.
    • At least 8-10 years of experience in clinical operations management, with a significant portion in a leadership role.
    • Proven experience in community engagement and partnership development.
    • Strong leadership and management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
    • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards.
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
