Overview:
The Channel Manager builds strong client relationships, understands needs, ensures timely delivery, and collaborates with sales teams. Key skills include communication, organization, and problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
- This position is responsible for achieving profitable growth in various channels within the organization that may include Home Centers, Farm, and Hardware.
- Develop Trust Relationships with Major Clients: As a Channel Manager, you’ll build and maintain strong relationships with important clients to ensure they remain loyal to your company and don’t turn to competitors.
- Understand Customer Needs: You’ll acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements. This involves actively listening to clients and identifying their specific goals and challenges.
- Expand Relationships with Existing Customers: Continuously propose solutions that align with your clients’ objectives. By doing so, you’ll contribute to the growth of your business.
- Ensure Timely Delivery of Products and Services: Make sure the correct products and services are delivered to customers promptly.
- Serve as a Communication Link: Act as the bridge between key customers and internal teams. If any issues or complaints arise, address them promptly to maintain trust.
- Generate New Sales Opportunities: Identify new business opportunities within existing clients and prospect the market for potential clients.
- Collaborate with Sales Teams: Work closely with sales teams to develop strategies for up-selling and cross-selling to key clients.
- Present Reports to Stakeholders: Regularly provide progress reports and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders, using key account metrics.
- This position does require providing direction to distribution partners and external Rep Firms to drive corporate initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in sales, communications, business management, customer relationship management, marketing or business administration.
- Strong communication skills, problem solving abilities and a customer-centric approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
