Description
Position Summary
The Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator will work with the Director of Education & Training and the education and training team to support the LMS needs of the Camden Coalition Learning Center. They will consult with content experts and project managers to maintain and improve the LMS through setting up learning activities, managing and coordinating training events, recording and controlling training information, and providing day-to-day learner support. The person in this role is expected to track trends and work collaboratively toward continuous improvement and innovation. Other responsibilities include report configuration, content uploading and testing, developing and maintaining learning content in the LMS, and ensuring a positive learning experience for our audience by taking full advantage of system capabilities.
The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of LMS configuration and capabilities and experience exploring and innovating in new online systems. Candidates must also have strong quality improvement, communication, and general technology skills. Curiosity, eagerness to learn new tools and skills, and a team player attitude are all a must.
Requirements
Essential Functions:
  • Provide technical leadership in the support of the learning management system (LMS)
  • Support the design, development, delivery, and maintenance of LMS content, assets, and other resources
  • Lead the routine and daily operation, use, and configuration of the LMS
  • Provide day-to-day management of external consultants who support course design and LMS operations
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for process and quality improvements, providing feedback on usage, defects, and suggested enhancements
  • Continuously learn how to use Thought Industries, Salesforce, and other relevant software to leverage all functionality and provide an optimal user experience, using both e-learning modules and mentoring from TI staff and consultants
  • Analyze data and recommend solutions to use the LMS to deliver and track training and measure performance to meet organizational objectives
  • Manage access to the LMS, including creating user logins, assigning learners, assigning user permissions, troubleshooting access issues, managing course enrollment, and tracking user progress
  • Create and manage user structures including the creation of user groups
  • Publish and archive learning content, assign training curricula, and add and delete resources
  • Populate course information
  • Develop and update standardized tools and reporting for ongoing access to learning information; generate standard and custom reports; analyze and visualize reports
  • Serve as point of escalation for support issues, which may include consultation with LMS vendor and external LMS consultants
  • Establish and maintain look and feel of Camden Coalition Learning Center
  • Work with marketing team to increase the reach and impact of the Camden Learning Center
  • Contribute to conversations about the strategic growth of the Camden Learning Center and the use of the LMS
  • Leverage the LMS to support internal-facing organizational knowledge management
Non-Essential Functions
  • Attend relevant training as necessary to maintain professional certification and/or knowledge.
  • Adhere to the Camden Coalition's guidelines and ensure the appropriate handling of sensitive information.
  • May work non-traditional hours based on operational needs.
  • Complete special projects specific to the function of the department or as needed for the department.
  • Other duties as assigned within the scope of position expectations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience working as an administrator of an LMS or similar technology; experience with Thought Industries and/or Salesforce a plus
  • Technical skills including troubleshooting, and understanding of directory, file structures, and systems
  • Experience with software intermediaries and/or data visualization and reporting a plus
  • Ability to problem solve, prioritize, multi-task, and be creative
  • Ability to identify and initiate process improvements and innovations
  • Ability to collaborate with others at all levels of the organization as well as vendors
  • Excellent customer service skills, responsive attitude
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Project management experience
  • Basic design or video editing skills a plus
  • A commitment to the mission, goals, and values of the Coalition; experience in the healthcare industry a plus
Experience, Education, and Licensure
Experience: 4 years experience as an LMS administrator or in similar position
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred

  • This position is based in Camden, NJ. the Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator will be required to be present in the office at least two days per week (currently Tuesdays and Wednesdays; subject to change), and on other days as needed. This is not a full-time remote position.
