Responsibilities:
- Complies with the Mission, Vision, and Values of the Camillus organization.
- Creates a warm and welcoming clinical environment where clients feel supported and respected as they pursue their personal, academic, and professional goals.
- Provides psychiatric diagnostic evaluations, medication evaluations and follow-ups.
- Assists with crisis/urgent referrals and supports transitions to higher levels of care.
- Participates in care coordination with therapists, primary care, and other Camillus resources.
- Participates in and contributes to committees, peer supervision, and other required staff activities.
- Exercises independent medical judgment consistent with approved, evidence-based methods according to specialty and in the best interest of patients.
- Demonstrates commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging in clinical work and all professional activities.
- Participates in clinical case conferences.
- Advocates for patients within Camillus and the community.
- Participate in the Bureau of Primary Health Care’s Depression Collaborative by implementing the pre- and post- screening assessment tool for depression.
- Works effectively and professionally with Camillus staff and community partners.
- Follows all protocols as delineated in Camillus Health’s Medical Policy and Procedure Manual.
- Documents and maintains accurate health records.
- Provides supervision and sign protocols for Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner(s)
- Performs any other department or agency related duties or special projects as directed by Supervisor.
- Valid license to practice medicine in the state of Florida.
- Valid DEA certificate
- Eligible for Medicaid/Medicare provider status
- BE/BC via successful completion of an accredited residency program
- Experience with public health issues as it relates to health center needs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and documentation
- Commitment to the mission of Camillus Health Concern, Inc.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish), Creole a plus
- Work effectively and productively in a team environment.
- Computer literate; previous experience with Electronic Medical Records (EPIC)
- Culturally sensitive to the social, psychological and health care needs of the Homeless and/or underserved populations
