Camp Eddy is looking for a reliable, outgoing and motivated person to lead our Housekeeping team. The Housekeeping Managers primary responsibility is to oversee and manage the housekeeping operations of Camp Eddy. You will be responsible for ensuring that the premises are clean, well-maintained, and organized to provide a comfortable and welcoming environment for guests and staff.

Title: Housekeeping Manager Reports to: General Manager, Assistant Manager

Job Summary:

The Housekeeper Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing all housekeeping activities at Camp Eddy. They ensure that the cleanliness and hygiene standards are met, and the accommodations and public areas are maintained to the highest level of cleanliness and presentation. The Housekeeping Manager supervises and trains housekeeping staff, cleans accommodations and public areas when needed, maintains organization of housekeeping areas and oversees the inventory of cleaning supplies.

Job Type: Part-Time to Full-Time

Compensation: $16.80 - $17 / hour depending on experience

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead the housekeeping team to ensure efficient and effective cleaning and

maintenance of all accommodations and public spaces.

• Work with management to develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards at all times.

• Inspect accommodations and public areas after each cleaning service to ensure they meet established cleanliness and presentation standards.

• Oversee the proper handling and storage of cleaning supplies and equipment.

• Coordinate with the management and maintenance to address any repair and maintenance issues within the property.

• Monitor and control the usage of cleaning supplies and ensure that stock levels are

maintained through effective inventory management.

• Train and mentor housekeeping staff, providing guidance on proper cleaning techniques,

safety protocols, and customer service skills.

• Collaborate with the front desk to ensure seamless coordination and guest satisfaction.

• Respond to guest inquiries and requests promptly and resolve any issues related to

housekeeping services.

• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in housekeeping and hospitality

management.

• Become proficient using property reservation system to inform daily turnover schedules,

block units when necessary, make reservation notes and more.

• Learn general front desk operations and Manager on Duty procedures to cover if needed.

Requirements:

• Proven experience managing a team.

• Strong leadership and management skills to effectively lead and motivate the

housekeeping team.

• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff and guests.

• Proficiency in using computers and willingness to learn property reservation systems.

• Ability to work weekends and holidays

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to use standard cleaning equipment, such as brooms, vacuums, and cleaning

chemicals.

• Stamina to stand, walk, push, pull, stoop, squat, and bend for extended periods of time.

• Agility to perform services over extended periods.

• Must be able to work until all daily duties are complete, even if this means working more

than 8 hours in one shift.
