JOB SUMMARY

Working in conjunction with the CNO and Department Directors/Managers, the Nursing Education Specialist provides teaching, mentoring, consulting, and systems improvement as determined by CCH organizational goals. This position coordinates/guides clinical projects and collaborates with members of the healthcare team to design and implement strategies. The RN practices within the framework of the Wyoming Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association (ANA) professional standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provides leadership in projects as assigned.
• Consults on matters as needed.
• Builds relationships with interdepartmental teams.
• Responsible for planning and assists with implementation of training, as assigned.
• Complies with the hospital’s Corporate Compliance Program including, but not limited to, the Code of Conduct, laws and regulations, and hospital policies and procedures.
• Must be free from governmental sanctions involving health care and/or financial practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Education
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • BSN preferred.
• Licensure
  • Current RN license in the state of Wyoming.
• Experience
  • 10 or more years of experience in nursing
