Campbell University is Hiring a Golf Shop Staff Near Buies Creek, NC

Department: Keith Hills Golf Club & Learning Academy

Status: Part Time

Position Summary:

The Golf Shop Staff member at Keith Hills Golf Club & Learning Academy performs all golf shop duties in a positive and professional manner while providing an exceptional experience for all members and patrons of the club.

Essential Duties andResponsibilities:

  • Answer phones in a professional manner.
  • Schedule tee times for members and patrons.
  • Use point of sale to sell merchandise as well as other golf-related items.
  • Help with setup, scoring and take-down of tournaments and events.
  • Provide excellent customer service and assist with management of the Golf Shop including:
    • Keeping golf shop neat, clean and organized.
    • Check in, price, and properly display merchandise.
    • Manage inventory and keep golf shop merchandise well stocked.
    • Place orders for customers as needed.
    • Open and close cash register daily, as well as make deposits.
    • Coordination with cart staff and maintenance staff about daily needs.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid NC driver’s license required
  • Customer service experience and knowledge of golf course and club house etiquette is desired

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Communicate effectively to all groups through both oral and written channels
  • Display a positive attitude, self-motivation, and a good work ethic
  • Demonstrate tact, courtesy and discretion in all interactions with visitors to Keith Hills Golf Course, including members, Campbell University students, faculty, staff, university officials, and the public
  • Work independently as well as function effectively in a team and within a diverse group of people
  • Exercise good judgment in complex and new situations
  • Detail-oriented and willing to work in a changing environment
  • Upon hire, acquire a broad knowledge of, and abide by, Campbell University policies and procedures, including, but not limited to; Title IX, HIPAA (only if applicable), and FERPA guidelines
