Camphill Hudson is actively seeking caring individuals for the position of per diem Direct Support Professional.

Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are important members of Camphill Hudson, a community which works to build healthy social relationships in an environment dedicated to personal and social healing and caring for the earth. DSPs support individuals to pursue goals & dreams and to co-create healthy, therapeutic environments. You might coordinate outings for hikes or swims, provide insight into building friendships, support a trip to the grocery store, plan meals, or support in any number of other dynamic ways. The co-creating of healthy, active lives in this role can and does prompt your own inner self development.

Important for this Role:

- Show professionalism, respect and kindness to others.

- Evenings & Weekends required (we're looking for people able and willing to work 11am-7pm on Saturdays & Sundays or four 4pm-8pm shifts per week)

- Punctuality and flexibility

- Interest in being part of a community that is committed to practices of inclusion and kindness.

Qualifications

- Must be creative, curious, and enthusiastic, highly motivated and have a positive attitude.

- Must be familiar with, or willing to become knowledgeable about the rights of people with disabilities to choice and self-determination.

- Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record and reliable transportation.

- Must be eligible to obtain CPR and basic First Aid training.
