AWS / CES is looking for a Maintenance Technician for our manufacturing client.

Job Description Summary :

The Maintenance Technician performs basic activities to install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and physical structures.

This entry-level position involves following specifications, blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings, utilizing hand tools, power tools, and measuring and testing instruments.

The role operates under the guidance of supervisors and higher-level technicians.

Job Description Details :

• Performs preventative maintenance on building mechanical and manufacturing equipment per service manuals and scheduled maintenance programs.
• Inspects belts, fluid levels, replaces filters, greases bearings, and seals, etc.
• Maintains equipment serviceability through periodic inspections and completing preventive maintenance requirements.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance on building and plant systems per service manuals and scheduled maintenance programs.
• Monitors computer-controlled plant systems overseeing water and electrical systems, chillers, heating and air conditioning, steam bay, etc.
• Receives work order requests for repairing machines and equipment, determines priority and schedule of repairs with Supervisor.
• Operates basic power tools for fabrication of new or converted equipment and machinery.
• Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunctions, diagnoses problems with supervisors and / or maintenance workers, and repairs machines according to specifications and blueprints.
• Performs 6S activities to organize and manage workstations.
• Records hours per work order using SAP Plant Maintenance.

Required Qualifications :

• Knowledge of computer programs and applications to troubleshoot equipment.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, memos, manuals, blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting skills using test instruments.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work schedule.
• Ability to perform with superior service, reflecting a positive company image and sustaining a positive attitude with others.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair experience.

Note : This role is based on the client’s new OH plant, opening in June 2025. Join them as part of the founding team for their 2nd US factory, helping to establish them in the community.

You’ll work in a cutting-edge, sustainable environment. Comprehensive training will be provided in McPherson, KS, and Germany if needed, with accommodation costs covered.
