SUMMARY

Responsible for securing new funding opportunities through the development of proposals and grant applications which support the strategic plan and mission of Canadian Valley Technology Center.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree and three years of education related experience required. Preference may be given to individuals with a Master’s degree and federal grant writing experience in the field of education.

Travel across the district is required; must possess a valid Oklahoma driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Collaborate with multiple personnel for the purpose of identifying needs that could enhance district services and / or programs through grant funding.
• Conduct ongoing research to identify new funding opportunities at the local, state, and federal levels.
• Develop and maintain a grant database to track applicable grant opportunities.
• Communicate with and gather information from appropriate departments / programs for which funding is being sought in order to ensure conceptual understanding of related area.
• Collaborate with internal and external experts to design grant funded projects.
• Ability to organize, evaluate, and analyze information to effectively solve problems and find solutions to complex issues.
• Develop high quality grant applications and related documents for the purpose of submitting to the appropriate funding agency.
• Develop grant reports and comply with all reporting deadlines as required by related grant organization.
• Present status reports and projections to district leadership on a regular basis, and to the Board of Education as needed.
• Ensure compliance with grant regulations, school board policies, and state and federal laws.
• Provide detailed grant compliance training to all related personnel as needed.
• Serve as the chairperson for the comprehensive local needs assessment team required by Carl Perkins Grant
• Maintain Programs of Study that will work in tandem with ICAP requirements when appropriate
• Foster positive working relationships with partner schools, career tech program instructors and leaders, and higher education partners to maintain Programs of Study that meet Carl Perkins Grant requirements
• Communicate with Canadian Valley Technology Center Foundation liaison regarding possible grant opportunities best suited for the Foundation.
• Participate in professional committees, community partnerships, school advisory boards, etc. to support the mission, vision, and values of the district.
• Support a culture of continuous improvement with a strong focus on positive student achievement and growth for all.

The primary work environment is in an office environment that regularly requires employee to sit for extended periods of time.

Requires reliable, dependable and punctual attendance. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds.
