NNICU
As a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NNICU) nurse, you provide specialized care to critically ill newborns requiring intensive medical attention. Working in a highly specialized healthcare environment, your role involves assessing and monitoring the health status of premature or critically ill infants, administering medications, and providing respiratory support as needed. You collaborate closely with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each infant's unique needs. Your responsibilities also include supporting families through education, emotional support, and involvement in their infant's care journey. By delivering compassionate, evidence-based care and advocating for the best possible outcomes for newborns and their families, you play a crucial role in ensuring the health and well-being of the most vulnerable members of the community.
Our NNICU is one of six regional referral centers for the perinatal in the state and the only Level III NNICU in central Georgia.

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
Current valid Georgia nursing license or eNLC nursing license
