We are seeking a skilled hotel maintenance person to join our team. As a maintenance person, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and upkeep of our facilities. This is a vital role in our organization, as you will play a key part in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
The Hotel Maintenance Worker is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of the hotel's facilities, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for guests and staff. This role involves a variety of tasks, from preventive maintenance and repairs to responding to guest requests and emergencies.
Responsibilities:
Preventative Maintenance:
Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and grounds.
Replace air filters, light bulbs, and batteries as needed.
Test and maintain fire alarms, sprinkler systems, and other safety equipment.
Perform basic plumbing and electrical tasks, such as fixing leaky faucets and replacing light fixtures.
Repair Tasks:
Respond promptly to guest requests for repairs, such as fixing clogged drains, malfunctioning air conditioning units, or broken furniture.
Troubleshoot and diagnose maintenance issues efficiently.
Perform repairs within a reasonable timeframe, minimizing disruption to guests.
Guest Service:
Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with guests.
Address guest concerns promptly and efficiently.
Ensure guest safety and well-being by responding to emergencies and hazards.
Other Duties:
May assist with minor landscaping tasks, trash removal, and ice removal (depending on location).
Participate in safety training and workshops.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in building maintenance or a related field.
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose and repair various problems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
