We are looking for a dedicated, experienced, Musical Theater teacher. This position is a creative individual that has a desire to provide a professional, energetic, enrichment program all year long.

MT teachers must have experience teaching students from 3-12 years of age.

-This position is a $40 Per hour class. Two classes back to back on Tuesdays from 3:15-4:15. Classes are held in a dance studio. Opportunities to take kids on stage to rehears are available anytime!

-One 30 min class for 3-5 yr olds at 3:15-3:45 $20. and another 30 minute class at 3:45-4:15 $20. for 6-12 yr olds.

-Opportunities for after school enrichment classes are for TK-Middle school. Our teachers and coaches must have experience teaching in a fun, joyful, effective way!

*A MUST HAVE SKILL: Communication in a kind, professional manner is expected at all times. We are looking for an experienced MT teacher that will sing, dance and act with our students.

Many opportunities are available with teaching and subbing jazz, hip hop, gymnastics, ballet, tap, fusion, cheer, as well as sports like lacrosse and field hockey.

LiveScan and fingerprints are required for this position.

This position requires commitment for the 2024/2025 Vista Unified school district calendar year.

Must have reliable transportation and a commitment mind set.

Afterschool opportunities are available too. Here are the requirements if interested.

Two-five hour classes per week (Monday-Fridays). Afterschool Classes start at 2:30. You will be responsible for monitoring attendance and roll call at 2:30. You will also be responsible for making sure kids are safely being picked up after classes conclude. If a guardia/parent is late picking up their child, you will be responsible to call the guardian with the number provided on your attendance sheet.

We offer 23 classes per week in a dance studio in addition to afterschool enrichment programs at local schools and churches.

Description:

Musical Theater is a fun, interactive and engaging class. This class combines dynamic movements and instruction of skills that will be taught throughout the year. Team building and laughter creates an unforgettable experience. This class will provide ample opportunities for a growth mind set.

Experience:

- Proven experience in Musical Theater or similar role

- Strong knowledge of the subject matter
