About the Role

The Company is seeking a Dean for its College of Engineering, the largest and top-ranked engineering college in the state. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing academic and executive leadership, with a focus on strategic planning, resource allocation, and fostering a culture of innovation and student success. The Dean will lead a diverse community of faculty, staff, and students, and will play a key role in continuing the college's growth and influence, particularly in the areas of research, industry partnerships, and student engagement. This includes overseeing the operations of the college, managing large and complex budgets, and leading efforts to support extramurally funded research. The Dean will also be involved in new initiatives, such as the development of a Ph.D. Engineering program, and will be expected to be a strong advocate for the college within the institution and the community.Applicants for the Dean position at the company's College of Engineering must have a Doctorate or terminal degree in a relevant field, a distinguished record of achievement in research, teaching, and service, and at least 3-5 years of administrative/leadership experience in higher education. The ideal candidate will have a growth mentality, a future-oriented outlook, and a proven ability to make and execute decisions that advance the strategic goals of the college. Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills are essential, as is a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Experience in fostering productive relationships with industry partners, alumni, and in external fundraising is highly valued. The Dean will be expected to lead the college in a manner that aligns with the institution's mission of providing an innovative, transformative, and equitable educational environment.
