The Company serves a large and diverse customer base including large consumer packaged goods companies, up and coming food brands, grocers, meal delivery companies and pet food brands. NaturPak has built an exceptional reputation in the market due to its expertise in Recart® packaging and its food formulation capabilities.

About the Role

NaturPak is seeking a motivated and experienced FP&A Lead (manager or director level) to play a key role in leading and executing all aspects of financial planning, budgeting/forecasting, and analysis. You will work across the business to report on and monitor trends in performance to inform key business decisions, establish budgets, and lead the building/updating of financial models. This role will be the first FP&A hire and as such requires the flexibility and desire to shift between execution and strategy.

The ideal candidate will have experience in an operating role at one or more high growth manufacturing businesses where they developed a “hands-on,” pragmatic, and collaborative approach. This is an opportunity to join an industry-leading brand in a high-impact role that works closely with the executive leadership team to drive the financial success of the organization.

This role will require a commute to the Company's headquarters in Janesville, WI (~1 hour) and is on-site to begin, after which there is flexiblity to transition to hybrid.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial forecasts that are aligned with the company’s goals. This involves short-term forecasts as well as long-term strategic plans.
  • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures. Highlight trends and analyze causes of unexpected variance, providing detailed reports to senior management.
  • Develop and maintain customer profitability analysis.
  • Utilize financial modeling techniques to analyze data and make recommendations on strategies to increase revenue, reduce costs, and improve overall financial performance.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to help drive business decision-making. This includes scenario modeling and investment analysis to support project evaluations and potential acquisitions.
  • Develop and deliver cohesive and robust management reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. These reports should provide critical financial and operational information to the leadership team, along with actionable insights on both financial and business metrics.
  • Partner with the CFO, Controller, and other senior management to enhance and better integrate the company’s financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Automate current processes, models, and reporting, and challenge existing assumptions and methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a relevant business-related discipline
  • 6 years of combined FP&A, investment banking, or similar experience
  • Strong financial modeling and forecasting skills, with an ability to maintain multiple versions of forecasts and scenarios
  • System savvy and data-driven; proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with data and BI tools a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and critical thinking with a natural curiosity to find the answer
  • Ability to work within a matrix organization and effectively provide value-added analyses as a functional partner
  • Effective communication skills; ability to thoroughly synthesize data and simplify messages across teams
  • Demonstrated ability to roll up sleeves and work collaboratively both with a team and independently
  • Flexible, pragmatic and collaborative approach to solving problems and supporting the CFO in building the FP&A function
