MS STEM, Robotics, and eSports Teacher
We are seeking a great communicator with excellent interpersonal skills for the role of middle school STEM, Robotics, and eSports. The middle school teacher will be responsible for developing learning activities and hands-on material, tending to individual student needs, and communicating regularly with parents.
To ensure success as a STEM teacher, candidates should have a strong quantitative background, demonstrate empathy, and have good written and verbal communication skills. Ultimately, a top-notch STEM teacher will have excellent classroom management abilities and engage students with the subject matter.
Curriculum design: Teach a cutting edge, school-approved curriculum for hands-on classes, such as physical, chemical, biological, and mathematical sciences, mathematics, and computer applications v
Lesson planning: Develop daily lessons using project-based learning methods
Student evaluation: Monitor student growth to identify strengths and areas for improvement, and provide regular feedback to students.
Classroom environment: Create a classroom and school environment that is conducive to learning and is appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students
Student support: Attend to individual student needs, and provide extra support to students who need it
STEM Teacher Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
State teaching license in the relevant field.
Knowledge of STEM best practices.
Empathy and great interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Proficiency with basic computer software such as Word and Excel.
Student motivation: Motivate students to get excited about STEM subjects
Professional development: Participate in professional development and continuing education to make sure they remain current in their STEM subject area
Demonstrating an awareness of different student backgrounds and cultures
Communicating regularly with parents
Keeping current with trends and best practices in education
Actively participating in school and community activities
Supervising students at all times in accordance with state, county and school policies
Taking student attendance as legally required and in accordance with county policy
Accepting reasonable extra duty assignments necessary for a successful school program
Experience working with children and adolescents. Previous experience as a STEM teacher will be advantageous.
