Lower Elementary School Directress (Teacher)

Canton Montessori School seeks an innovative, enthusiastic, confident self-starter to facilitate learning and discovery within a Lower Elementary (grades 1-3) classroom.

Anyone interested in sharing their expertise in a collaborative style should consider this position as it will provide an opportunity to grow and expand your own abilities. As our Lower Elementary Lead Teacher, you would be tasked with all classroom responsibilities, including lesson presentations for all subject matter, record keeping, communication with parents, and administrative duties pertinent to your class. Our faculty works together to create an environment that aligns with the Montessori pedagogy. All of our teachers must attend regularly scheduled meetings, school events, and contribute to a positive school culture.

Even if the candidate is currently taking the Montessori Elementary I training and would be amenable to self-directed teaching next year, Canton Montessori School would be interested in reimbursing you for the Montessori training program as a part of our contract.

Candidate Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Montessori credential level Elementary I (preferred)
• Prior Montessori teaching experience (preferred)
• Appropriate criminal records check by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation and Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Salary: Salary compensation is based on education and experience in Montessori.
