Senior Front-End Developer - UI

Job Title: Technical Specialist – UI (React JS, CSS3, HTML5, SASS, Bootstrap) Job Location: Chennai Role Reports to: Development Manager

The Role

If your expertise lies in development of enterprise applications in Javascript Technologies, a position as Software Engineer is ideal for you. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding requirements (use case models, Business Operating Model) as well as the technical designs produced and convert it into working software keeping in mind the RBS development standards and frameworks for React.JS, Redux, HTML 5, Java script , Restful Web services design with a deep understanding of JSON contracts.

To qualify for this role, you need to have expert experience and proficiency in React.JS, Redux, HTML 5, Java script, Restful Web services design and development, UI Integration patterns, design & development of User Interface of Enterprise Web-based applications, with good analytical and communication skill. What the Business Does This role is based in the Lending Digital Platform at Technology Services India division reporting to the Project Manager.

CPB Lending Transformation Programme is centred around our customers and will deliver many benefits, including:

• Improved transparency and trust for our customers – giving them visibility of where their application is at any stage in the process with access to legal documentation and statements of appetite online

• Faster fulfilment of lending requests. Our target is to complete a lending application in less than five days for our Small & Medium Enterprise customers.

Your Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for contributing effectively to projects by preparing and getting agreement on designs and hands-on software development. You will ensure that decisions related to your area of responsibility are taken promptly and effectively. Your responsibilities will include:

• To analyse requirements, perform impact analysis, Application / Component design, build and unit test the code. • Conducting analyses, designing, preparing code reviews, estimating tasks, and developing software • Carry out Peer Reviews to ensure that quality goals are met around project deliverables. • Proactively Identify risks / issues & communicate. • Handling technical issues and resolutions • Reporting and involving management in case of high severity issues • Communicating and reporting status actively to a varied audience • Support implementation activities. • Work with suppliers / vendors on designated areas • Enable technical knowledge sharing across team

Skills you need:-

Front-End • Web fundamentals like HTML 5, JavaScript, and CSS • Typescript • CSS preprocessors like Sass or LESS • JavaScript frameworks with strong exposure to React.js, Redux and JS-based build tools like Grunt, Gulp, and Bower • Libraries like jQuery or Backbone.js • Front-end (CSS) frameworks like Foundation or Bootstrap • AJAX • Ability to do low level design, unit testing in UI and API design is a must. Back-End • API design and development • CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) • RESTful Services • Web fundamentals like HTML 5, JavaScript, and CSS • Server-side languages like Java and JavaScript • Database technologies like Oracle with good exposure to PL/SQL. • Web server technologies like Node.js, J2EE, Apache, Nginx, ISS, etc. • Frameworks related to their server-side language of choice like: Express.js, Ruby on Rails, CakePHP, etc.
