Cape Fear Center for Inquiry, a K-8 public charter school, is seeking applicants for an Elementary Teacher Assistant.

HOURS: Part-time, 29 hours per week

SALARY: $15.60 per hour

TERM: 2024-2025 School Year

Position Responsibilities:

• Work with individual students and groups within various academic subjects.
• Manage whole class instruction in the absence of lead teachers to support student growth and development.
• Provide support and coverage in various classrooms across the building, as needed.
• Assist teachers in providing support with paperwork, copying, cutting, laminating etc.
• Assist teachers in data collection.
• Monitor student behavior regulation and encourage positive social skills across all school settings.
• Other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Instructional Experience – Specific training and/or teaching experience related to the teaching of students with a wide variety of educational and behavioral needs
• Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly and under the supervision of a wide variety of instructional staff and leadership in a support capacity
