DEFINITION:
The Cosmetology Program Director coordinates, plans, and reviews the educational services of the program. In addition, this position works with the Department Chair to schedule classes and make recommendations regarding the program’s curriculum. The Cosmetology Program Director is the liaison to the NC Cosmetics Art Board, and as such facilitates State forms and documents as required by this Board. The Cosmetology Program Director also instructs Cosmetology students in the safe, sanitary and proper techniques of the cosmetology profession. They will aid students in obtaining the theory, practical and clinical experience to allow them to become licensed cosmetologists. They will also ensure client satisfaction by effectively managing the lab floor, counseling and guiding students and assisting in resolving student issues.
