Position Description
DEFINITION
To provide exceptional custodial operations for the Center and build a recognized, world-class guest experience.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
Receives direct supervision from the Guest Experience Coordinator and works in coordination with Hospitality Coordinator
Exercises no supervision
Duties & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Event Services
- Operate all cleaning equipment as required, to include; mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, waxing and buffing floors, leaf blowing, power washing, etc
- Clean all areas of the Wilson Center to include; lobbies, restrooms, performance hall, hallways, backstage dressing rooms, administrative offices, elevators
- Wash windows, doors, mirrors and polish furniture.
- Dust woodwork, furniture, and other articles.
- Collect and dispose of food and beverage waste both front and back of house
- Clean and supply restrooms.
- Observe and report hazardous conditions.
- Operate cleaning equipment as required.
- Utilize appropriate cleaners for specific projects
- Clean overhead vents and air filters.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with faculty, supervisors, staff, co-workers, and students.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
Administrative Services
- Perform special and regular deep cleaning projects on non-event days to include; power washing, fabric shampooing, polishing furniture, etc.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of:
- Some knowledge of building cleaning practices, supplies and equipment.
- Customer Service best practices
Ability To:
- Work weekends and/or evening hours as required.
- Wear the regulation, provided uniform during service hours.
- Use cleaning equipment and supplies economically and efficiently
- Embody and demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, even in stressful and/or demanding situations.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work including artists, agents, rental clients, donors, high profile clients and guests, volunteers, students, college faculty and staff, and the general public.
- Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Interpret and apply CFCC goals, objectives, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING GUIDELINES
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Minimum Education/Training:
High School Diploma or 5 years of experience in related field
Minimum Experience:
3 years in custodial and/or 3 years in customer service in physically active industry
Preferred Education/Training, Experience, Skills:
Any combination of all minimum education and experience listed above
