SummaryOrganizes, coordinates and oversees the billing processes and daily office operations of the Sleep Center Outpatient Clinic and Diagnostic Facilities.College courses in business or health care administration and/or computer technology preferred. A minimum of 3 years experience within a hospital or medical business office setting performing insurance processing, patient billing and collections. Prefer candidate with two years experience in a medical outpatient clinic (sleep medicine preferred) or two years supervisory experience. Knowledge of medical terminology. Knowledge of insurance providers’ procedures. Possess excellent communication/customer service skills and problem solving abilities. Knowledge and competency in personal computer operation and Microsoft Office Suite of applications. Knowledge of the computer applications currently in use at Cape Fear Valley Health System and clinics used in patient processing. A working knowledge of CPT and ICD coding systems. Excellent interpersonal relationship skills, organizational skills, and problem solving abilities.Visual and hearing acuity required. Motor coordination and finger dexterity suffcient to operate a computer terminal, fax machine and copier. Physical ability to accomplish light lifting and carrying.
