Capgemini is Hiring a FIS Controls Specialist Near Auburn, MI

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement control systems for manufacturing processes, focusing on Factory Information Systems (FIS).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define control system requirements and specifications.
  • Develop and maintain FIS software and hardware to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot control systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and updates of control systems to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation, including system design, operation manuals, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Provide technical support and training to production staff on FIS controls and systems.
  • Implement and maintain data collection and analysis tools to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations in all control systems.
  • Stay current with advancements in control systems technology and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Controls Specialist, Automation Engineer, or similar role in the automotive industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Factory Information Systems (FIS) and manufacturing control systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages and software used in control systems (e.g., PLC, HMI, SCADA).
  • Experience with data collection, analysis tools, and software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
  • Certification in controls engineering or related field.

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $23.11/hour - $36.12/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
