IT Technician Responsibilities And Duties
- Provide technical support to clients through various channels of communication
- Troubleshoot computer software and hardware issues and make repairs and perform scheduled updates
- Partner with the IT team to ensure that security software is properly installed on employee computers
- Build, configure and deploy new desktops, laptops, VoIP, and all forms of mobile devices.
- Provide desktop support for Microsoft technologies including Windows and office 365. This includes additional third-party applications.
- Create and maintain system documentation and operations procedures.
- Provide backup support to IT Manager for entire IT infrastructure.
- Maintain Confidentiality rules related to the operation of company functions and network information.
- A Certification
- Minimum 2-year degree in an IT related field
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to solve problems and learn quickly
- Microsoft Windows Active Directory Management including group policy, scripting, DNS, DHCP, RDS
- Network and systems administration, helpdesk, troubleshooting and support
- Working knowledge of telecommunications, telephone system management and VoIP knowledge
- Working Knowledge in supporting and troubleshooting of firewalls, routers, switches, and other typical network equipment.
- Working knowledge of Ethernet networks and TCP/IP protocol (IPv4 & IPv6)
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, climb, reach, kneel for extended periods, and lift/move up to 35 lbs. Occasionally required to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends when necessary. Some travel.
- Must have reliable acquire transportation to and from work, and to meetings/trainings as required.
