Capital Health is Hiring an EMS Training Center Admin Coord Full Time Near Trenton, NJ

Position OverviewManages all administrative aspects of the Emergency Medical Services Training Center. Provides healthcare educational activities which include issues related to health promotion, prevention, maintenance, and restoration. Coordinates cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) Education Courses. Serves as Coordinator and Instructor for Capital Health's (CH) EMS Training Center.
Minimum RequirementsEducation:National Registry or New Jersey Certified Paramedic (current or inactive), OR Registered Nurse. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Experience:One year of EMS management or EMS education experience plus five years provider experience.
Other Credentials:AHA ACLS Instructor,AHA BLS Instructor,AHA PALS Instructor,Drivers License,PEPP ADV
Knowledge and Skills:Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Professional. Possesses excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and ability to respond quickly in a fast paced environment.
Special Training:Approved Methods of Instruction course in specific discipline. One year to obtain reciprocity as NJ MICP or MICN.
Essential FunctionsMental, Behavioral and Emotional Abilities:
  • Establishes and maintains all training center policies and procedures.
  • Oversees the scheduling of EMS education courses, provides in class support to meet course objectives (teaching or remediating) for at least 50% of hours worked and provides course completion documentation to students at the conclusion of each course.
  • Maintains and administers Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and Quality Assurance (QA) programs for the Training Center. Considers relevant course participant and staff evaluation input for implementing changes to enhance educational programs.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to provide educational courses at varied sites and schedules to accommodate customers.
  • Acts as American Heart Association Training Center Coordinator. Assures compliance with all AHA rules and regulations as outlined in the current AHA Program Administration Manual.
  • Manages inventory and oversees the purchase and maintenance of educational materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Develops the training center budget and assures financial stability through demonstration of fiscal responsibility.
  • Supports other EMS divisional activities (Operations, Clinical, SCTU, BLS, and Communications) as directed when needed.
  • Supports hospital system initiatives including committee participation, disaster exercises, and other community events as directed.
  • Maintains clinical experience relevant to level of training.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the EMS Director and willingly adapts to changing department and system demands.
