As a Service Writer Assistant, you will provide administrative support to the service department by assisting service writers and managers in daily operations. You will ensure smooth workflow, assist customers with inquiries, and maintain accurate records. Your role is pivotal in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and efficient service delivery.

Automotive Service Writer Assistant Responsibilities: 

• Greet customers and assist with inquiries in person, via phone, or email
• Schedule service appointments and follow up on service orders
• Provide updates to customers regarding the status of their vehicles
• Assist service writers in preparing repair orders and invoices
• Assist in ordering and receiving parts and supplies as needed
• Liaise between customers, service technicians, and management to ensure clear communication
• Uphold dealership or service center standards for service quality and customer care
• Other duties assigned

Automotive Service Writer Assistant Requirements: 

• Proficiency in using computer software, especially MS Office and automotive service management systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Customer-oriented approach with a focus on providing exceptional service
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check
