Capital One is Hiring a Remote Senior Software Engineer(Remote)
- Maintain the cloud infrastructure and related services of the Profile application
- Build automation and monitoring solutions
- Utilize programming languages like Python, C, Shell Programming, CHEF, Terraform, NoSQL databases, and a variety of AWS tools and services
- Work with the Engineering Team Leader and business owners to refine and clarify project requirements.
- Participate in 24x7 support of the Profile application
- Ensure that all code retains logical stability, reliability, confidentiality, and integrity of Capital One systems is in accordance with Capital One policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Ability to influence multiple levels on highly technical issues and challenges
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 4 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience does not apply)
- At least 1 year of experience with Cloud Native technologies (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
- At least 1 year of Unix or Linux system administration experience
- 5 years experience supporting 24x7 enterprise applications such as financial products
- 3 years of experience in Agile practices
- 2 years working in a Profile application environment
- 2 years of experience in shell scripting
- Ability to debug, optimize code and automate routine tasks
- Strong troubleshooting skills
Remote (Regardless of Location): $140,000 - $159,800 for Senior Software Engineer
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
