Our client is seeking a motivated Mechanical Designer with 2 to 5 years of 3D design-modeling experience who desires to grow in a technically and professionally diverse environment.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree or relevant technical degree required.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Develop designs to prepare drawings.
• Manage the drafting function for assigned projects.
• Support the department manager in maintaining design (drawing) standards.
• Plan drawing work for the mechanical team.
• Prepare mechanical flow diagrams and drawings to support equipment specifications.
• Experience in engineering sketches, calculations, general arrangements, and plant layout drawings.
• Proficiency in Revit is preferred, but SolidWorks or Inventor other 3D software is acceptable.

Tasks:

• Maintain drawing and design standards based on the Mechanical Department's current standards.
• I'd like you to please develop designs according to company standards.
• Develop piping layouts and schematics per lead engineer's directions.
• Assemble information for drawing production, coordinating with structural engineers and mechanical designers.

Must have:

• Heavy industrial process experience for piping layouts and schematics in a plant setting, MEP for EPC
• Heavy industrial systems design in similar industry in EPC/EPCM engineering/construction field
• Mechanical Designer with 2 to 5 years of 3D design-modeling experience who desires to grow in a technical and professionally diverse environment.
