Role : Asset Management Specialist

Client : DC Government

Location : Washington, DC (Onsite)

Job Description :

To Maintain comprehensive records of asset inventory, including location, condition, and depreciation status. Analyze the total cost of ownership (TCO) for assets and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement. Monitor asset-related expenses, such as maintenance, repairs, and operational costs. Utilize ServiceNow to track asset workflows, manage service requests, and ensure compliance with asset management policies. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and organizational policies related to asset management and cost control. Prepare regular reports on asset performance, cost trends, and compliance metrics for stakeholders and senior management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, procurement, and IT, to optimize asset utilization and cost-effectiveness. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred. Understanding of financial principles and cost analysis techniques. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed recommendations. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes process and re-engineering with an understanding of technical problems and solutions as they relate to the current and future business environment.
  • Creates process change by integrating new processes with existing ones and communicating these changes to impacted Business Systems teams.
  • Recommends and facilitates quality improvement efforts.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Experience:

  • Receiving and maintaining the inventory for IT Equipment: 6 years (Preferred)
  • provide analysis on value, cost , risk ofl technology asset: 6 years (Preferred)
  • xecuting asset management program including processes,: 6 years (Preferred)
  • reporting for all hardware/software assets.: 6 years (Preferred)
  • track Asset & License info via an Asset Management tool: 6 years (Preferred)
  • Certification such as Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM: 6 years (Preferred)
  • Certified Hardware Asset Management (CHAMP) or similar: 6 years (Preferred)
  • 6-10 yrs. business process re-engineering: 6 years (Preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent: 4 years (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

  • Washington, DC 20001 (Preferred)
