JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a Program Director to lead the Sacramento K-16 Education Collaborative's backbone operations. In this role, you will be the head of the project and the final point of accountability, overseeing strategic project management, coordinating with multiple educational and industry partners, and ensuring the successful execution of grant deliverables.
Your key responsibilities will include leading a team to manage and convene the K-16 Collaborative, mitigating and resolving conflicts among member institutions, and managing and tracking collaborative activities and working groups. Additionally, you will coordinate with school districts, higher education institutions, nonprofits, and industry partners, oversee project budgets, and ensure compliance with fiscal requirements. You will also lead communications and outreach efforts to support the collaborative’s mission. Finally, you will be responsible to raise money through philanthropy, public funding, partner institutions, and corporations to sustain the K-16 Collaborative and further its value to the region.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in regional workforce and education initiatives, career pathways, educational program management, exceptional leadership and facilitation skills, grant writing and management, business and fund development, and a passion for driving academic achievement for underserved students.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's degree. Master's or higher preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in program management, education or philanthropy leadership, or a related field. Proven track record in designing and managing complex initiatives, with at least 3 years in a management role.

• This position is hybrid though qualified candidates must be based in the Sacramento region for consideration.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $120,000. The salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience.

INTERVIEW PROCESS
Qualified applicants will be invited to participate in a virtual interview with one or more Capitol Impact staff. Applicants selected from the first-round interviews will be invited to a second-round interview, which may include a case study presentation. Finalists will be interviewed by a panel of Capitol Impact senior leadership and key stakeholders. A writing sample and references may be requested.
