About the role:
You will be working in our Austin, TX location as a back-end engineer, responsible for designing, developing, testing, performance tuning, enhancing, maintaining, and documenting internal and external software that complies with project plans and industry standards. This role is a permanent position that involves working full-time and follows a hybrid schedule, Monday through Friday.
What you will do:
- Execute full lifecycle software development
- Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code
- Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility
- Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
- Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
- Document and maintain software functionality
- Document requirements and specifications
- Tailor and deploy software tools, processes, and metrics
- Serve as a subject matter expert
- Ensure compliance with project plans and industry standards
Who you are:
- Requirements: You are eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and reside in Austin, TX. C2C will not be considered.
- Experienced: You have a Bachelors degree in Software Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
- Technical competencies: You have software engineering experience. You have hands-on experience designing interactive applications. You have experience developing software in C#, VB.Net, HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, CSS, T-SQL, XML, and other selected languages. You have excellent knowledge of MS SQL database (2008-2016), including stored procedures, function calls, and designing tables. You have experience developing web applications using .Net (Standard & Core), MVC, Web API, ORM, Dapper, and Entity Framework. You have experience using web services, including SOA, REST, and SOAP. You have experience using web technologies, including AJAX and JSON. You are comfortable using Microsoft Software (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and interacting with Adobe PDF documents.
- Preferred: You have 1 years of experience working in an Agile environment. You have experience creating MVC-compliant back-end applications, where REACT, Angular, or another framework were the front-end tools. You have experience with git.
- Strong organizational and time management skills: You have the ability to multi-task and prioritize projects / assignments. You have excellent attention to detail and exhibit a reasonable sense of urgency.
- Strong communication skills: You have strong verbal and written communication skills. You communicate in both a professional and friendly manner with clients and coworkers.
- Adaptable: You are eager to use new tools and learn new processes and technologies. You can adapt to changing priorities while working in a fast-paced and high-stress environment. You have strong problem-solving skills to address any challenges that may arise.
- Coachable: You have the ability to retain and implement instruction and training. You are open to learn and navigate our current processes and systems. You are not afraid to ask questions.
- Positive attitude: You demonstrate a positive customer service attitude. You are courteous and polite, especially when navigating through difficult conversations, problems, or complaints that may arise.
- Team player: You are able to work in both a team and independent setting. You tend to foster support and dependability towards your peers while also getting your individual tasks done within specific time constraints.
- Reliable: You are able to work during our regular business hours at your assigned location. You are a punctual individual and able to follow an assigned work schedule.
- Office environment: You are able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.
