ResponsibilitiesAssesses students at the First Aid Center with a triage approach, Records vital signs, Observes students self-administering medications and documents progress
Oversees the medication observation process, Performs treatments as ordered by providers, Responds to medical emergencies on campus
Documents essential findings in the student's medical record, Collaborates with other members of the interdisciplinary team and Attends meetings as requested
Works with a variety of students who have physical, mental, and developmental disabilities
Administers nursing care in a school-based setting
Manages supplies and inventory in a fiscally responsible way
Required SkillsCurrently licensed as a Practical Nurse in the state of TN
Possesses knowledge of basic laboratory practices
Effective communication and listening skills
Ability to provide clear, concise information in a classroom setting
Basic knowledge of electronic data usage
Must have exceptional customer service skills
Basic skills using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
