General Information:
Beds: Float to units in need of help.
Will you accept a first-time traveler? Only if they have 2 – 3 years’ experience of Med Surg.
Will you accept a traveler with 1-year experience? Not in float pool
Patient Types: Float to all units with all diagnosis
Patient Ratios: Following grids on the units
ED: 1:3-5
MS units: 1:6
Psychiatric Units: 1:6
Required Licensure & Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (preferred) & State/Compact License
Support on the Unit: CNA (Ratio: ) depends on the unit floated to
EMR: Cerner
IV pumps: Plum
Medication dispensing: Omnicell
Floating: If yes, where? Float pool goes to all med surg units, emergency department and our psych unit. We also float to tele units.
