Purpose: The Lead Carpenter is directly responsible for the on- site project management and is required to possess the highness level of carpentry, scheduling, project budget, jobsite safety, maintain regular client contact and ensuring that company policies and procedures are upheld. This position is responsible for maintaining customer satisfaction throughout the project within the means of the construction contract. Position Responsibilities:
Perform Carpentry at the highest level as required
Supervise laborors, carpenters, and subcontractors. This includes participating in performance reviews. Make work assignments, monitor quality, and motivate crew. Must command respect of work crew.
Expedite timely completion of the work to maintain schedule and budget goals
Ensure jobsite safety, protection and maintenance of company tools, and enforce all jobsite rules
Maintain regular client contact for duration of projects and provide client updates
Train carpenters
Read and interpret paperwork, including all plans and specifications, purchase orders, subcontractor work orders, and cost updates. Brin questions, discrepancies and unusual conditions to the attention of the Production Manager and Design Staff.
Provide necessary information to the Sales Staff for change notices. You must understand change order procedures and ensure that all change orders are written up and signed prior to implementation.

Who we are looking for:
People with at least 3 years of experience in remodeling, apartment/hotel maintenance, or fine carpentry (5 years preferred)
People with strong finish carpentry skills
Problem solvers with a positive attitude
Professionals at their trade
Ability to communicate with others with a positive attitude
Must be able to measure, cut, bend, and lift (up to 100 pounds)
Must be willing to pursue, develop, and participate in continuing education
Must have tools and reliable transportation
Must have a smartphone with internet access
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
