Capstone Real Estate Services is Hiring a Human Resources Generalist Near Austin, TX

Essential Functions

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Manages job postings, pre-hire screening, new hire orientation, and employee data management.
  • Administers various human resource policies and procedures for the organization; assists in the development. Implementation and revision of policies and procedures.
  • Handles employee relations by coaching, counseling, and advising managers on various employee concerns.
  • Partners with employees and management to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards, and other government regulations.
  • Responds to employee relation issues such as employee complaints and harassment allegations.
  • Monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
  • Performs benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting and communicating benefits information to employees.
  • Maintains employee files, records, and various personnel reports
  • Coaches, counsels, and guides managers before executing employee disciplinary actions.
  • Maintains and processes unemployment claims and potential charges in a timely, efficient manner. Manages unemployment hearings, when necessary.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
  • Responsible for the support of special projects as required

Competencies

  • Must have effective communication/interpersonal skills
  • Must have ability to coach & consult managers and employees
  • Must have ethical work practices/confidentiality and be a dependable team member
  • Must have expertise in multiple areas of Human Resources
  • Must have strong relationship building and management skills
  • Must be comfortable in Excel, data analysis, formulas, pivot tables, etc.

Required Education and Experience

  • A bachelor's degree and/or combination of 3 – 5 years of HR experience in the HR field, or any similar combination of education and experience.
  • At least 2 years of solid experience managing employee relations issues.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • UltiPro HRIS experience a plus
  • HR Certification, or the willingness to become certifeid within the first year.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

In special situations, we may make exceptions to the "no criminal history" policy, depending on the nature of the crime, how many years ago the crime occurred, the total number of crimes committed and other factors. Moving traffic violations will not be considered except for reckless driving, driving while intoxicated or excessive red light or speeding violations
