We are representing an industry leading FORTUNE 500 industrial manufacturing organization who is actively seeking a Quality Director to lead their "flagship" campus. Our client provides industry leading benefits, compensation, and working atmosphere and has been named by several publications as a "TOP PLACES TO WORK." The Quality Director will report directly to the VP/General Manager who is looking to begin the interview process ASAP!
POSITION OVERVIEW
- Candidate will report to the General Manager while managing a department of (20) over a 1,000 employee/$1B revenue campus.
- Complete financial/budgetary ownership of department
- Candidate will assume ownership over both the plant quality function in addition to oversite over Quality Lab while working cross functionally with different departments (Lab has "Lab Quality Manager)
- Provide direction and leadership consistent with company and business plan goals.
- Maintain and develop strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors
- Direct and drive the utilization of problem solving methods for related plant and customer issues.
- Work closely with plant staff to development "HI-POT " talent
- Responsible for improving process efficiency through best practices, SOP's, and lean manufacturing.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Degree is preferred for consideration
- Metals Processing/Fabrication experience is preferred (Steel, Titanium, Exotic Metals, Casting/Forging, etc..)
- Candidate should have at least 5 years of Quality management experience within regulated environment
- Experience with AS9100/AS13100 preferred
- Data driven/process oriented
