Job Overview:
We are seeking an Emergency Vehicle Upfit 12 Volt Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing and upfitting emergency vehicle equipment to ensure functionality and safety.
***CANDIDATE MUST HAVE PRIOR EXPERIENCE INSTALLING VEHICLE ELECTRONICS AND AFTERMARKET EQUIPMENT IN EMERGENCY OR UTILITY VEHICLES. CANDIDATE MUST HAVE THEIR OWN TOOLS. COMPANY WILL NOT RESPONSE TO APPLICANTS WITHOUT REQUIRED EXPERIENCE***
Duties:
- Install emergency lighting, sirens, mobile data and communication systems, 12-volt components, and aftermarket equipment/parts in all types of emergency vehicles
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems in emergency vehicles
-Ability to read installation documentation, interpret technical charts and diagrams
- Ensure all installations meet industry standards and regulations
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently
- Maintain accurate records of work performed
Qualifications:
- Experience installing low voltage and aftermarket equipment in emergency vehicles
- Experience with power tools for installation purposes
- Mechanical knowledge to understand vehicle systems and components
- Proficiency with hand tools for precise work
