Major Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design of new product features.
- Implement high quality product features through proper planning and accurate resource estimates.
- Maintain existing functionality
- Investigate and fix software defects in a timely manner
- Provide documentation including design documents and user documentation.
- Interface with support and customers to resolve issues in timely manner
- Manage source and build procedures
- Contribute to the team meetings. Openly share knowledge with team members.
- Provide timesheets and regular status to management.
- Provide internal training
- Contribute and adhere to Product Release timelines and goals
- Create and update problem reports utilizing the proper bug tracking tool.
- Research new technology and techniques
- Stay current with inventory system changes and new features
- Research and remain current on industry changes especially new inventory system areas
- Perform such other duties, and have such other responsibilities, as are assigned by Car-Part.com from time to time
Essential Knowledge And Skills Requirements
- Proven Delphi software programming experience
- Delphi or related development language, WinBatch, and SQL knowledge
- Windows knowledge
- Good understanding of networks
- Strong Industry knowledge
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to work as a team member
- Strong problem solving skills
- Self motivated
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to prioritize tasks of a fast moving environment in a timely fashion
- Strong organization skills with emphasis on detail and follow through
- Good communication skills
- Ability to resolve technical issues in a timely fashion
- HTML, and XML Knowledge
- Oracle, MSSQL and other database knowledge
- Terminal server environment experience or knowledge
- Knowledge of company products
