Job Description

Job Description
  1. Greet customers properly as they enter the service area.
  1. Determine need for repairs by questioning customer about vehicle’s performance, or by visual inspection of vehicle.
  1. Estimate cost of repair and prepare itemized work order, listing costs of parts and labor.
  1. Answering customer inquiries, either in person or on the phone.
  1. Answering all incoming calls coming into your desk phone, should you miss a call listen to your voicemail and return any calls from customers the same day.
  1. Communicating with customers daily, via our texting software, phone calls or in person to ensure they have updates regarding their vehicles.
  1. May make minor adjustments or repairs.
  1. Ensure repair orders are written/closed in a timely manner.
  2. Close out repair orders as soon as work is completed and promptly notify customer of completed status.
  1. Work in a cooperative and positive manner with all personnel.
  1. Ensure CSI is above or meets minimum standards.
  1. Maintain companies established minimum standards on labor and parts gross.
  1. Conform to the company’s policies on non-discrimination and harassment.
  1. Treat members of the public in a courteous and non-discriminatory manner and maintains a professional demeanor while on the job.
  1. Perform other tasks as assigned.

  1. Computers
  2. Calculators

  4. Adding Machines

Types of Tools Used on the Job:

  1. Pencils
  2. Pens
  3. Erasers
  4. Hand Tools
  5. Measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, thickness gauges and pressure temperature gauges.
  6. Staplers

Vehicles Driven or Moved as Part of the Job:

  1. Customer’s automobiles engine start-up and short test drives as required.
  2. Moving new or used vehicles for customers
  3. New and used car repositions on sales lots as required.
  4. Other driving as assigned.

Personal Protective Equipment/Clothing Required :

  1. Required employee provided safety items:
  1. Leather topped rubber soled shoes.
  2. Utilize required personal protective equipment at all times.

Physical Demands :

  1. Standing: Intermittent, not to equal more than 60 % of the working day.
  2. Walking: Intermittent, not to equal more than 20 % of the working day.
  3. Sitting: Intermittent, not to equal more than 10 % of the working day.
  4. Stooping (bending at the waist), kneeling (at knees) and crouching (at knee and waist): Infrequent activity, not equal to or more than 10 % of the working day.
  5. Lifting: Maximum of 20 lbs
  6. Carrying: Maximum of 10 lbs.
  7. Pushing and pulling: Occasional activity using equipment and hand tools.
  8. Climbing and balancing
  9. Crawling
  10. Twisting or turning of trunk
  11. Reaching
  12. Handling: Frequent activity (office tools and equipment, and hand tools).

Every Car Pros Employee

Car Pros believes that all employees should be good stewards of the dealership and its property. As such it is the employee’s responsibility to help safeguard, and not abuse, dealership assets such as vehicles, vehicles in the dealership care, tools, computers, and other equipment. Employee shall participate in ensuring the dealership is neat, clean and tidy which may include cleaning up after him or herself, making sure his or her work area is neat and clean, properly disposing of trash and making sure vehicles and merchandise is properly displayed for sale.

Benefits

Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, short/long term disability and basic life/ AD&D insurance after 60 days of employment. Car Pros sponsors 80% of basic medical (Kaiser Permanente), dental and vision insurance for employees. Employees pay the additional cost for dependents and any voluntary elections.

Employees can enroll in company’s 401k plan after one year of service. Employees will accrual one-hour personal time off for every 30 hours worked.
