We are looking for a Reliable, Experienced, Hard Working, and Detail Oriented individual to lead our billing department. This is an extremely important role in the company, and we are looking for a fabulous person to fill it.

WHAT DO OUR MEDICAL BILLERS / CODERS DO:

• They are the gate keepers to the success of our business, by handling the backend processing of an insurance based practice.

• They are the liaison between the client and their insurer.

• They work closely with our admin and clinical staff. Truly an essential team member!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Gather accurate insurance information

• Verify client benefits prior to initial session and throughout their treatment

• Provide necessary client account updates to our admin and clinical staff

• Verify proper utilization of codes and submit claims

• Work with denied claims and reconcile payments

• Provide aging and reconciliation reports as necessary

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Previous Medical Biller / Medical Coder experience is required

• Simple Practice EHR knowledge is preferred but not required

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word / Excel or Mac Pages / Numbers

• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

WORK HOURS:

• Monday - Friday 8:30AM - 5:30PM

• No evenings, No weekends, No holidays required

• Position is at our admin office in Layton. In-office 4 days a week, with 1 flex day available to work from home.
