CarbonCapture is Hiring a Manufacturing Technician Near Phoenix, AZ

CarbonCapture Inc. develops and deploys direct air capture (DAC) machines that can be connected in large arrays to remove massive amounts of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. With a patented modular open systems architecture, our DAC platform allows for plug-and-play upgrades, mass production, unlimited scalability, and rapid technology iterations. 

The manufacturing technician will build and assemble products in both pilot and high-volume manufacturing settings. They will adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Working Instructions (WI) for all builds. Collaborating closely with the manufacturing engineer, they will improve processes and provide feedback to the production and product design teams. Their responsibilities include supporting product assembly, contributing to the company's production ramp-up goals, and maintaining high product quality throughout the manufacturing process. Although primarily based in Phoenix, this role will involve occasional travel to CarbonCapture’s headquarters in Los Angeles for training and product support.

Responsibilities

  • Read, understand, and follow assembly drawings and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, drills, grinders, and saws to build products.
  • Assemble products by bolting, screwing, clipping, or fastening parts and components together.
  • Clean and prepare the assembly line for production.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and other experts to solve large-scale production challenges.
  • Address product non-conformances and work with the quality team to implement root cause corrective actions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school graduate, Associate degree, or trade certificate in a manufacturing-related field.
  • 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
  • Proficient in reading assembly drawings and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with prototype and pilot product build environments.
  • Hands-on experience with hand and power tools for product assembly.
  • Skilled in sheet metal fabrication and wire management.
