QA Techs are responsible for understanding the quality process in the Lamination department. In this role, you will work as a team to safely inspect a large number of quality laminated units to meet our daily, weekly, and monthly production goals.

Quality Technician
Entry Level - Hourly
Summary/Objectives
Performs analyses and tests of raw materials, packaging materials, and/or finished products from manufacturing, to ensure quality standards and compliance to customer and regulatory requirements, and tolerance specifications for the chemical or physical property.
Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Learn and operate inspection equipment.
- Work closely with production to provide day to day technical feedback on parts being produced
- Document activities as appropriate - i.e. digital logbook, inspection walk throughs, etc.
- Utilize statistical analysis software and present results in formal settings.
- Aid process engineers in suggesting line modifications to increase machine efficiency and/or improve manufacturing yields.
- Assist in all phases of new product testing and development as needed.
- Record product test data and provide summary notes on results.
- Performs duties in a safe manner using all required personal protective equipment
- Support safety by maintaining a neat and organized work area encouraging 5s through the cleanliness at the line, sweeping and clearing glass as necessary
- May perform other duties or work in other areas as instructed to balance workloads or meet production needs
An ideal candidate should be able to possess one or more of the following:
- One or more qualifications below is preferred.
- 2 years of experience in a quality assurance/control role
- Military technical role with honorable discharge.
- 2 years of experience in a laboratory or fabrication setting
- 4-year STEM degree
- Ideal candidate has 1-2 years’ experience in data collection/organization, test method validation, process trend analysis and statistical process control methods.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three years of manufacturing experience in a production or quality related field
- Proficient computer skills with strong Microsoft application skills
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills with the ability to draft technical reports
- Detail oriented, can properly manage and organize large databases
- Ability to understand and apply the use of measuring instruments
- Basic mathematical skills as related to measurements
- Ability to read and interpret work orders
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. on a routine basis
- Ability to work full-time, 12 hour shifts or night shift
- Travel on an occasional basis to a supplier location or Cardinal production facility
Ability to take supervision and follow all policies and procedures
