This Position provides food service support to Cardinal Ritter Senior Services.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepares food for residents, visitors and staff, when applicable.
• Maintains quality and sanitation standards of food production and portion control.
• Maintains, cleans and sanitizes food equipment and work surfaces daily.
• Records food temperatures accurately.
• Practices good personal hygiene.
• Maintains work and food storage areas in organized and sanitary manner.
• Delivers finished foods to serving area according to time schedule.
• Uses production sheets and spread sheets accurately.
• Batch cooks food whenever possible.
• Label, date, store and discard leftovers appropriately.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Experience & Education

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Three years-experience in cooking within a long-term care facility preferred.
• Able to read, write, and do simple arithmetic.
• Knowledge of English Language.
• Must know basic principles of quality and quantity food production.
• Must have 2-years of food service experience.
• Must be proficient in reading and following standardized recipes.

Pre-Employment Screening

All candidates receiving an offer for employment will be required to submit to pre-employment screening. The screenings will include criminal background check and other background checks (as needed), drug screen, an employment and education or licensure/certification verification, and Covid-19 and Influenza vaccination.
