As a Cook you will prepare and cook delicious food for our residents here at Autumn House. The starting pay rate for this position is $18 to $20 per hour, depending on experience.

We are looking for a full time cook. The shift time is 10 : 00am to 6 : 00pm. Must be willing to work every other weekend and every other holiday.

Essential Functions :

• Prepare tasteful, nutritionally balanced meals on pre-planned menus
• Prepare meals with consideration of resident’s preferences and food safety standards.
• Ensuring resident special diet are offered and prepared, recognizing, a resident right to choose.
• Complete dining room service, including set up, service and clean up with high hospitality standards
• Assist with inventory and maintain supplies in all common area kitchenettes
• Follow the sanitation schedule for the kitchen, equipment, and dinning room to maintain standards of sanitation and cleanliness
• Serve as a back up to the Chef for ordering adequate supplies weekly based menu, budget, current inventory and storage capabilities
• Promote positive relationships with the residents, staff, and visitors

Qualifications and Skills :

• High School Diploma / GED or equivalent
• Culinary arts courses (preferred)
• 1-2 years’ experience with cooking / baking in a commercial setting or a combination of education and work experience.
• Ability to read and prepare menus and recipes
• Must have skills necessary to prepare dishes for special diets
